The Ogden Museum of Southern Art announces a monumental exhibition to celebrate its 20th anniversary as home to the most significant collection of art of the American South in the world.
Knowing Who We Are opens Jan. 28 and tells an updated story of the South.
Drawing inspiration from Ralph Ellison who said, “knowing where we are has a lot to do with our knowing who we are,” this exhibition provides a portrait of place that challenges conventional notions of Southern identity and celebrates the diversity of the region offering a view that is more fully representative of its people.
