Jefferson Performing Arts hosts its 3rd Annual Tree Lighting & Caroling on Dec. 7. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. for concessions, crafts and delivery of coat, food and toy donations before caroling begins at 6 p.m. Santa arrives at 6:30, then the Marine Forces Reserve Band performs a free holiday concert at 7:30 p.m. Reservations: jpas.org.
The following weekend, “Elf Jr.” takes the stage at the Westwego Performing Arts Theatre (Dec. 13-15). Herb Alpert & Lani Hall’s “Christmas Wish” concert is onstage Dec. 14 at JPAC and “The Nutcracker” closes out JPAC holiday festivities on Dec. 21 and 22.
