From the first communication course, I have had a love affair with PR. Despite long hours, high stress and considerable demands, there are many great highs:
• Developing ideas for “the pitch,” customizing per media outlet
• Valuing the relationship between PR strategist and reporter
• Seeing a story in print, on air or on social media platforms
• NOT seeing a sensitive story in the public domain is just as rewarding
• Birthing a PR campaign – from napkin notes to multilayered execution
• Celebrating a successful event with the team
• Beaming when a client acknowledges PR makes a difference
• Watching momentum on social platforms intensify
