Gallier Hall: Tricentennial legacy

by

Gallier Hall, one of New Orleans’ most iconic buildings, was rededicated on Friday, March 16, as part of the Tricentennial celebration of the City of New Orleans.

First Lady Cheryl Landrieu worked diligently with the Gallier Hall Preservation Committee of the 2018 NOLA Commission to preserve James Gallier’s vision within the building.

The restoration is the legacy project for our city’s Tricentennial, similar to the restoration of St. Louis Cathedral for the 1918 bicentennial. With the recent opening, Gallier Hall proves that it has stood the test of time and is a landmark for the city’s past, present and future.
