Calling all Clark Kents, Diana Princes and Peter Parkers

Every child needs a hero, but abused children need superheroes. The sixth annual Superhero Race, sponsored by Chalmette Refining, will be held on Sept. 22, 2019. Proceeds from the race benefit CASA New Orleans, a nonprofit that fights for the rights of abused and neglected children in St. Bernard and Orleans parishes.

Don your cape and mask and run/walk the 5K course (or the 1K course for superheroes 12 and younger). The after-party at Parkway Bakery and Tavern will include kids’ activities. More details on the race and costume/fundraising competition can be found on the race website  or Facebook event  page.
