The Crescent City Countdown is the biggest party in New Orleans each New Year, as friends and neighbors, visitors and tourists gather in Jackson Square. The end-of-year countdown culminates in the fleur-de-lis drop at midnight, when crowds watch New Orleans’ beloved symbol drop down a 25 foot pole atop Jax Brewery.
There’s no cost to attend – but show up early to save your place in the square. Enjoy merriment with live music and more before the finale event.
Afterwards, visitors will view a magnificent fireworks display over the Mississippi River as together we look forward to what 2023 will hold.
