New Orleans humidity

by
weather forecast

A humid place, New Orleans isn’t so humid in the spring when drier air from the north settles in.

When we talk about humidity, we often mention the dew point. But what is that? Defined as “the temperature to which the air must be cooled to become saturated,” dew point is a measure of how humid the air is. In other words, when the air temperature falls and eventually reaches the dew point, that’s when water vapor in the air is forced to condense into water droplets.

You can see the evidence as dew on grass and sometimes as fog.
