In this video, Geaux Far Louisiana steering committee member and parent Khan Nguyen discusses her experience with early childhood education in New Orleans East, where there are both large Vietnamese and Hispanic populations.
Although the need for childcare is large, there are not enough resources. Additionally, there are language barriers that continue to disconnect the Vietnamese and Hispanic populations from understanding what resources are available to them.
Nguyen shares that she is hopeful that Geaux Far’s goal of getting families, children and mothers all the resources they need to have a healthy foundation for a bright future can be accomplished.
