WWL-TV was honored with four 2023 regional Edward R. Murrow Awards, including Best News Documentary, Best News Series, Best Sports Reporting and Best Digital Coverage.
“WWL-TV is proud to continue a tradition of excellence and we are honored to be recognized again by the Radio Television Digital News Association,” News Director Nicole Waivers said.
The award for Best News Documentary honors “Wounded City,” a documentary that explores solutions to the city’s crisis of rising crime. Katie Moore’s “Ida Strikes,” earned two awards: Best News Series and Sports Reporting.
The digital team was awarded Best Digital Coverage for a sixth time.
