Other than maybe Mr. Bingle, there are few holiday activities more uniquely New Orleans than Reveillon dinners. Begun as a meal after Catholic midnight Mass, these dinners have become a staple of New Orleans restaurants throughout the month of December and serve as the perfect way to celebrate the holidays with friends and family.
These meals “awaken” your taste buds as they often involve multiple courses with Creole dishes ranging from grits and grillades to turtle soup, eggs sardou and more. Diners can find Reveillon dinners throughout the city, and the French Quarter houses many of the most famous haunts.
