WWL-TV anchor Thanh Truong has traveled the world reporting different stories. From the Democratic National Convention, where Barack Obama accepted his party’s nomination, to Kabul, Afghanistan, where he covered ongoing conflicts and military matters, this reporter has covered a lot of ground.
What many don’t know is the newsworthy story of Thanh and his family’s origins. His family escaped Vietnam in 1978, and, after living in a Thai refugee camp, eventually immigrated to New York thanks to the help of a local church. Now in NOLA, Thanh feels like he’s found his permanent home. We’re glad to have him!
