At the New Orleans Chamber’s educational seminar with AMA, speakers Mark Romig and Sam Joffray discussed the highs and lows of their jobs – marketing New Orleans as a thriving city and desirable travel destination.
According to Romig, promoting the positives and focusing on the uniqueness of the city is key. Everyone leaves New Orleans with a story, which sparked NOTMC’s nationwide award-winning “One Time, in New Orleans” tricentennial campaign.
It’s equally as important to have an active crisis team to address complaints immediately. Safety is the main priority and should be emphasized when marketing the city to visitors.
