Kingfish cidery and tap room opens in Jefferson Parish

by The 100 Companies

Last month, Kingfish Cider opened its doors to the public, becoming the first cidery to open in Jefferson Parish. JEDCO helped finance the multi-million-dollar project. The micro-distillery brews alcoholic beverages made with apples, pears and local ingredients.

Kingfish offers a unique Louisiana-specific spin on the cider industry. The business, named after the infamous Louisiana politician Huey P. Long, features a Prohibition-era aesthetic steeped in Louisiana history and culture. Patrons will experience vintage cars and artwork throughout the unique space.

Right now, the tap room serves four different ciders alongside several local craft beers. Additional information can be found here.
