Camellia celebrates 100 years by giving back

by The 100 Companies

L.H. Hayward and Company – parent company of the iconic Camellia Brand beans – celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2023 by partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans.

The company plans to donate enough product for 1 million meals as part of its ongoing effort to end food insecurity in New Orleans.

CEO Vince Hayward believes strongly in giving back to the local community, which he credits with the long-term success of his family’s business.

As the oldest dried bean company in the country, Camellia red beans and rice are a Monday tradition in homes throughout Louisiana and beyond.
