Milestone birthdays are a time to reflect on life’s journey while plotting the next chapter.
In the novel The Midnight Library, a suicidal young woman enters “limbo” where she is presented a book of her regrets and can choose a “re-do” for as many as she wants. While I might have a few regrets — maybe more “what ifs” — I prefer to look forward and not dwell on the past; rather, learn from it.
The book underscores that the only way to learn is to live. My birthday gift is to continue to learn and live each day to the fullest.
