Seventy-five years ago, Dr. Alton Ochsner and four colleagues opened New Orleans’ first multi-specialty group practice.
Since 1942, our vision to develop a healthcare model that ensured top quality, comprehensive care for patients in south Louisiana along with our commitment to prioritizing patients remains. Ochsner has been a leader on the forefront of clinical research and innovation – linking cigarette smoking to lung cancer decades ago, to now arming patients with the latest wearable technology to manage chronic conditions.
