Celebrating Black History Month NOLA Catholic style

Celebrating Black History I New Orleans

The Office of Black Catholic Ministries cultivates the rich diversity of the black Catholic community in the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Its mission is to educate the local church on the contributions of the black Catholic community as it shares its gifts in the church and society.

There are five people from the black Catholic community, including New Orleans’ own Henriette Delille, on the path to sainthood.

As we observe Black History Month, may these holy men and women be examples of how one person can make a difference and bring peace and justice to their communities and the world.
