One of the most popular resources at The Historic New Orleans Collection is the Collins C. Diboll Vieux Carré Digital Survey, which offers information on every block of the city’s oldest neighborhood, the French Quarter. This complimentary online resource includes maps, site plans, property records, photographs and more.
The project began in the 1960s to bolster local preservation efforts by offering historical, architectural, legal and sociological data on individual lots and structures from the French colonial period to the present. Since then, it has been updated and digitized to allow users to search remotely with the click of a button.
