With 300 years of rich culture, New Orleans has played an important role in America’s history. Beginning with the Louisiana Purchase in 1803, the United States secured the port of New Orleans and surrounding area, doubling the size of the U.S. at that time.

As the birthplace of Jazz, the city’s festivals define the American South’s music culture. Today, NOLA is transforming into a hub for technology and digital innovation and securing its place as a world-class business destination. Not to mention the booming seafood industry and local cuisine that has transformed New Orleans into a foodie mecca.
