Following pandemic postponements and heartbreaking cancellations, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival makes its triumphant return to the Fair Grounds Race Course this week – marking 50 years since the renowned music festival was first held at the historic racetrack.
Tens of thousands will once again flock to the fairgrounds for seven incredible days of performances, tasty fare (crawfish sacks and mango freezes please), art and culture.
Louisiana’s own Tab Benoit, George Porter Jr. & Runnin’ Pardners, Galactic, Cyril Neville and Dumpstaphunk all kick off the first weekend of music, along with headliners like Lionel Richie, The Who and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
