In 2018, New Orleans celebrates its Tricentennial, and the Catholic Church celebrates 300 years of Catholicism in New Orleans.
No other entity – no government, business or organization – has been in NOLA since its founding, and the Church’s influence is part of everyday life. From Mardi Gras to St. Louis Cathedral, the Crescent City’s identity is rooted in Catholicism.
Despite challenges and trials, the NOLA Catholic Church has flourished, providing education, health care and so much more to the people of the city. To celebrate, the church is planning a series of special events. All are welcome to join the celebrations.
