This month, the Southeast Louisiana Council of Boy Scouts of America will unveil a brand new fundraising event to celebrate the role of girls and women in scouts.
The inaugural “Spirit of Scouting” soirée Oct. 25 at Wetlands Sake will honor three women who exhibit the “Spirit of Scouting” through female leadership in our community – Julie Stokes, Peggy Reeves and Andrea “Ms. Skip” Gibson. Featuring live music and auctions, the event is sure to become a staple in the New Orleans fall calendar.
