Crossroads NOLA Helps Improve the Lives of Children in Foster Care

by

Throughout New Orleans, there are an average of 400 children in foster care each day. The number of foster care cases is rising and state budget cuts are deepening, limiting resources and time that social workers can spend recruiting foster families.

Since 2011, Crossroads NOLA has helped bridge that gap by raising awareness of the needs, recruiting suitable foster families, developing them into certified foster parents, and supporting those families throughout the fostering process. In the past 6 years, their work has greatly improved outcomes for local children in the foster care system. To learn more, go to crossroadsnola.org.
