New Orleans Tricentennial women: Lindy Boggs

by

I got to know Lindy Boggs in the 1970s when she became the first woman elected to Congress, winning her late husband Hale Boggs’s seat.

Her political career, which began as an active Congressional wife, fervently championed equal rights for women and minorities. After retiring from Congress in 1991, she became the United States Ambassador to the Vatican.

One of my favorite “Lindy” sayings is that there is no limit to what you can accomplish if it does not matter who gets the credit. It’s this mantra upon which I have tried to shape my business – and live my life.
