WWL-TV/WUPL is excited to announce Nicole Waivers as its next news director.
Waivers has served as WWL-TV’s nightside executive producer since January 2022. During that time, she played an integral role in the continued transformation of WWL-TV’s late news. To her new role, Waivers brings an emphasis on providing content that’s relative to the lives of the people of Southeast Louisiana.
A native New Orleanian, she grew up watching WWL-TV and understands the legacy and standards of excellence tied to the station’s history. Waivers is a graduate of Edna Karr High School in New Orleans and Loyola University of New Orleans.
