Earlier this month, The Historic New Orleans Collection (THNOC) was honored to host a special group from the National Urban League while they were in town for the organization’s 2023 Leadership Summit.
The national leaders explored our new exhibition, “Yet She Is Advancing”: New Orleans Women and the Right to Vote, 1878-1970 and discussed how the civil rights movement in New Orleans and across the country was supported by the Urban League’s efforts.
