In 2021, Ruth Lawson became the fourth president of the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce and the only woman to serve in the role. Dedicated to promoting community, business vitality and economic development in Louisiana’s second largest parish, Ruth has quickly become a “go-to” for business and civic leaders in a short period of time.
In 2023, she was recognized for her leadership as a Forty Under 40 honoree by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. Additionally, the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce was ranked by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce among the top 2% of chambers in the nation.
