Simone Bruni founded Demo Diva in 2006, responding to the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina.

Emerging from a career in hospitality, she recognized selling tourism was not feasible so she shifted gears and started a demolition business, launching the iconic hot pink equipment synonymous with Demo Diva.

The inspiration, however, did not come from family or construction experience; rather, it came from church volunteers, immigrant workers and a devastated community. These reminded Simone that our weakness can become our strength.

Led with empathy and strategic branding, Simone, with Demo Diva’s hot pink dumpsters and trucks, has become an international icon.
