Geaux Far Louisiana: Dreaming big for little people

by The 100 Companies

“We need to build power within the community we want to build.”

Geaux Far Louisiana believes in an equitable, unified early childhood system that centers upon racial equity and ensures families access to seamless, high-quality early child development, health and educational services.

Driven by a 36-member Steering Committee, the nonprofit seeks to empower positive reform from the ground up.

Geaux Far Louisiana co-chairs Rochelle Wilcox and Libbie Sonnier discuss the moving parts of Geaux Far Louisiana, the coalition’s long-term goals, and what that will look like as the coalition continues to grow within the community.
