One of my pet peeves is people attending a meeting unprepared to take notes. Whether a pop in, appointment or interview, be prepared with something to write on and write with.
My friend Monica Resh recalls how a former boss gave a crayon to unprepared job applicants. I recall a courtesy interview, which ended with the note-less interviewee requesting I just email my recommendations to her.
With multiple devices or simple pen and paper, there is no excuse not to be prepared. Write it down so you do not have to remember it; otherwise, you may be given a crayon!
