Nine New Orleans residents win prestigious travel scholarship

After a competitive application process, Hostelling International USA (HI USA) has selected nine New Orleans area residents for its Explore the World travel scholarship. This $2,000 scholarship is given to help fund an educational or service trip abroad.

HI USA, which will open a new hostel in on Canal Street this winter, seeks to inspire a generation of young people to make the world a better place through travel.
