When I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma four months after Hurricane Katrina, my world shattered. With no health care in New Orleans, I moved to Houston where I was treated at MD Anderson. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society became my lifeline. June marks my 11th year in remission and, coincidentally, the first Man & Woman of the Year fundraiser for LLS. My niece, Hartley Meric Crunk, hopes to raise $50,000 for this fundraiser.
Cancer changed my life, encouraging me to rethink priorities and take chances – like opening Gambel Communications. I am blessed and hope you’ll consider donating to LLS.
