On Wednesday, April 3 and April 10, every Catholic church in the greater New Orleans area will have confessions, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
Archbishop Gregory Aymond says he hopes the availability of confession aids Catholics on their Lenten journeys.
“As we identify an area of our life that needs change, we can be assured of God’s help for us to face our weakness and experience a change of heart,” the Archbishop said. “Lent should include standing before our merciful God asking for his forgiveness in the sacrament of reconciliation, better known as confession.”
