The Geaux Far Louisiana steering committee has members from different walks of life, from childcare providers to doulas to parents. Meeting people with different backgrounds is vital to the success of the steering committee because it allows a variety of both experiences and perspectives to help form ideas in order to create momentum for children and their families.
Parent Stephanie McGuffee shares, “I’m really excited about getting out into the parishes and rural areas to try and figure out a way to work with everyone, so we can get more centers in these rural areas and help these moms out.”
