I bought a brand-new RV two years ago – this is what I would’ve done differently:
• Join affinity groups on social media for RV types you are interested in. Review recent posts to get an idea of product quality, gauge lessons learned as well as actual owner satisfaction.
• Consider a used RV – two to three years old (let the first owner work out the bugs).
• Join “For Sale” groups: You’ll quickly get an idea of appropriate price ranges for different models.
• RVIA Inspection – Worth a couple hundred dollars to have it inspected.
Lead with your brain, not your heart – happy RV’ing!
