The city of New Orleans recently contacted local homeowners with updated 2023 Tax Assessments. As a result of increasing sales prices in New Orleans, City Hall has increased assessed property values – a troublesome decision for many homeowners.

So what should you do before cutting a check?

If you’ve received a tax hike that you feel may be disputable, give your Realtor a call to discuss your property assessment. Also click here to review several factors to consider before paying your property taxes this year.

New Orleans homeowners may appeal the assessed value through August 18, 2022 by 4 p.m.
