In Caddo there are over 50 early childcare centers. 77 percent of providers reported COVID-19 financial losses averaging $110,000 per center ($137.5 million statewide).
Pre-pandemic at $7,500 per year, quality early education is unaffordable for many. Only 48 percent of Caddo low-income three-year-olds access quality care — versus 10 percent of two-year-olds and 6 percent of one-year-olds.
The LA Childcare Assistance Program (CCAP) provides stipends for some families. To fill the gap and provide scholarships, CFNLA is raising $1 million!
Early learning is crucial to academic success. Childcare is essential to employees. Higher enrollment means economic recovery for centers. Finally, all children deserve early education!
