Expanding free access to quality education for children in New Orleans

by The 100 Companies

In Greater New Orleans, an estimated 70 percent of low-income children under four don’t have access to high-quality early childhood education.

To combat this, the City of New Orleans, Louisiana Department of Education and members of the early education community have worked together to provide access to free, quality care through the New Orleans Early Education Network (NOEEN).

To date, NOEEN’s successful City Seats program has provided over 400 infants and toddlers with publicly funded scholarships at high-quality childcare centers, with plans to provide over 800 scholarships next school year! Participating families, teachers and centers receive intensive supports throughout their enrollment.
