What Louisiana staple is found in dishes both savory and sweet; complements vegetables, fish and meat; and is as plentiful in the market as it is on the street? It’s citrus, and it’s the theme of The Historic New Orleans Collection’s 2018 culinary symposium Saturday, June 9.
Registration is open for the daylong event – and the optional dinner at Napoleon House – that will feature some of the preeminent figures in the culinary industry, including historian Jessica B. Harris, chemist and author Pierre Laszlo and celebrity chefs Jeremy Lee and Jeremiah Tower. Talks will also explore growing citrus and citrus cocktails.
