Emerging homebuyer trends due to COVID-19

As the effects from the pandemic continue, we are beginning to see several trends appear, locally and nationally, in what buyers are looking for when purchasing their next home. June and July contracts set some records and are helping normalize year-to-date sales. From these sales, we can identify several home buying trends, including shifting wish lists, further movement away from open floor plans and a shorter time between a buyer starting their search and making an offer – while seeing fewer homes in person.
