Governors’ Action Plan puts Gulf Coast futures first

5 Gulf Coast governors collaborate on new strategic plan with Gulf of Mexico Alliance

by The 100 Companies

Governors of five Gulf Coast states – Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida – signed their support behind a new strategic plan put forth by the Gulf of Mexico Alliance (GOMA), and in 2022 that proposal gets underway.

The Governors’ Action Plan IV for Healthy and Resilient Coasts is the fourth in a series that provides a blueprint for addressing common Gulf Coast issues in a voluntary and collaborative way. The declaration contains commitments to regional data sharing, serving underserved communities and incorporating climate change factors into future planning and models.
