It is always nice to receive compliments, and during our 10th anniversary, I am particularly proud of our staff, for whom I hear praise regularly.
From Gretchen’s role as the “App Girl” on WVUE to Amy’s award from Families Helping Families for Beignet Fest, a fundraiser for autism, the Gambel Girls are admired for their character, comportment and competence.
As for me, perhaps the ultimate compliment came from my grandchildren. “Bets, you’re like Mary Poppins, Dora the Explorer, Mickey Mouse, Drew Brees and Woody.” Gambel Girls, you make me proud every day, and Emily and Sellers, you melt my heart.
