I love traveling with girlfriends. There’s even science behind girl groups. Research reveals that female friendship is one of nature’s commanding behaviors.
For many species, females are the central social unit, binding the group together. Female monkeys groom one another and “she bonds” account for lower stress levels, longer lives and independent offspring. Female elephants communicate with one another in special “girl talk” and lionesses share raising cubs.
Whether in the wilderness or urban jungle, girlfriends provide equilibrium, calmness, predictability and support. Make time for sisters – have coffee, travel, buy the shoes.
