Agenda scores big wins for early learning centers during COVID-19

by The 100 Companies

Predominantly small businesses owned by women of color, early learning centers fuel Louisiana’s economy: children are prepared for kindergarten, families thrive and businesses grow. Unfortunately, COVID-19 has pushed these centers to the brink of economic disaster.

Agenda for Children has led Louisiana’s COVID-19 response for over 500 early learning centers. We connected essential frontline workers to free childcare, distributed $2 million in PPE and granted over $1 million in operating funds to centers to stay open through our ECHO microgrant fund.

Our nonprofit will continue to support early learning centers so parents can remain in the workforce, children can succeed and our economy can recover.
