Observations from western Canada

by The 100 Companies

Observing others’ customs is a benefit of travel. Such was the case on my first trip to western Canada.

Foremost is the respect Canadians have for their First Nation heritage, the foundation of their lifestyle. The region is widely international, with French prevalent. Environmental consciousness includes electric public transportation, bicycles and walking; the emphasis on natural resources for food and recreation; and always refillable water bottles.

A strong work ethic exists, especially among young people who are happy and gracious. Many pharmacists are licensed to prescribe medication, which alleviates strains on healthcare.

Incorporate the best of travel while appreciating home.
