One of the most beloved holiday traditions in New Orleans is Caroling in Jackson Square. Begun in 1946 by Patio Planters, the free community event traditionally takes place the Sunday before Christmas – Dec. 17 this year.
Mark Romig will be emcee, with carols led by notables such as Archbishop Aymond, Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser and accompanying musicians. Joey DiFatta, president of Patio Planters, is grateful to the volunteers and donors who make the event possible.
Carolers can download the 2023 songbook here. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. Caroling in Jackson Square is a time-honored tradition for families and friends.
