From March to November, New Orleans sailors launch on Wednesdays, matching skills against 50 other boats in a competitive, yet relaxed atmosphere that is a great way to break up the work week.
Friends gather after work and share their favorite beverages before heading to the race course, right off the West End point. After the races, the crews head to NOYC and enjoy the camaraderie of their fellow sailors.
Races begin March 15th with fireworks, sponsored by Gulf Coast Bank, off the point at 8PM. Newcomers welcome; meet at NOYC at 5:30 to be matched with a boat.
