I recently discovered a new holiday tradition: the giving bowl. First, select a bowl – it could be a silver heirloom, a favorite piece of pottery or simply a bowl from your kitchen cabinet.
Each person writes down a special intention or something they are thankful for. Get the family or office involved. I am going to use a virtual bowl with my out of town grandchildren during Advent.
The openings or undulations of the bowl symbolize the many aspects of our lives and prayers. Plus, it is a simple way to bring us closer to one another through God’s blessings.
