We all know WWL-TV’s anchor Karen Swensen for her award-winning journalism. Eyewitness News’ favorite journalist has covered everything from Hurricane Katrina to the most recent U.S. Senate and New Orleans mayoral debates. What many of us may not know is that her favorite festival is Jazz Fest, and her biggest career influence is Hoda Kotb (she was Hoda’s intern).
Karen also started her own T-shirt company, Life’s About Change, that helps raise funds for cancer research. She is also the author of “Catherine the Great and Her Teatime Tagalongs,” a children’s book inspired by her daughter.
