STEM: Part of Ursuline Academy since 1727

by

As the oldest Catholic and oldest all-girls school in the United States, Ursuline Academy carries with it a long history of empowering women to lead. For nearly 300 years, ever since Sister Francis Xavier Hebert became America’s first female pharmacist, Ursuline has been a leader in STEM innovation for girls.

Complementing an already robust liberal arts curriculum, Ursuline Academy is the first all-girls school in Louisiana to implement a full K-12 engineering and computer science pathway using Project Lead The Way, a national program designed to prepare students for success in college-level technology and engineering coursework.
